New Moon Sound Bath + Meditation

The New Moon in Aries - Aries is the first sign in the Zodiac Calendar. It is a cardinal fire sign, a sign on new beginnings, of ideas, of initiation. With the Sun and Moon (and many other planets) in Aries, things might be feeling like they are moving really fast. This is an opportunity for you to slow down. To take a breath, find your footing, clear your mind so that you can continue walking forward with clarity in your vision and intentions for the season ahead.

Join us for meditation to connect with this new moon and take a moment of stillness. Singing bowls, gongs, flutes, crystal instruments, drums, guitars, handpans, and a range of other tools are used throughout the journey. Vibrations and overtones produced by these powerful instruments can be felt throughout the body. Sound baths hold space for deep relaxation, emotional release, and setting intentions for the future.

“Music has been shown to activate some of the broadest and most diverse networks of the brain.” Harvard Health

Music-making develops creativity, imagination, focus and coordination. Learning an instrument and practicing music enhances these capacities. Music provides a means of nonverbal communication, providing an outlet for connecting with and expressing emotion. As a safe and healthy activity, it helps deemphasize obsessive thinking and compulsive behavior. Shared music-making and dance can promote meaningful relationships and connections within and across social groups, leading to an improved quality of life, shared values and sense of belonging.
