Drum Circle *

In this circle, we use the drum as a way to connect with yourself and with others. The focus is on shared rhythm and group experience rather than mastering the instrument, though basic techniques and rhythms will be taught to support the session. Group drumming has been shown to support well-being, reduce stress, and strengthen a sense of connection. No experience is needed—just bring your own drum and join in.

This class is for ages 13+.

If you plan to attend and do not have a drum, please contact us (connectwithjuniper@gmail.com) so we can provide you with one. We also have instruments for sale.

*Your contributions help to ensure these programs remain accessible to all. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please reach out to connectwithjuniper@gmail.com for assistance.

Facilitator Bio:

Mateusz Bazgier is a drummer and multi-instrumentalist with a Master’s degree in education and over 15 years of teaching experience in both group settings and private lessons. He studied drum kit at different music schools in Europe and later developed his own approach to djembe, translating grooves from the drum set into hand drumming. For Mateusz, drumming began as a way to build discipline and learn how to practice, and grew into a lifelong exploration of rhythm across different musical traditions. Through this journey, drumming became a source of empowerment, helping him build confidence and a strong connection with the instrument. His teaching focuses on the core power of rhythm—how it can move energy, bring people together, lift the mood, and create a sense of calm.
