Heart of the Earth Drum Making Ceremony

The drum is a sacred instrument that invokes the heart and speaks a universal language. It invites us to travel more deeply into our hearts and to the universal beat that connects all life. The rhythmic heartbeat of the drum is at the center of ceremonies held by people all over the world. The shamanic drum is used to communicate with the Spirit and to connect our hearts with the heartbeat of the Earth. It is a powerful medicine that heals the body, heart, mind, and spirit.

We will be making one-sided hand drums, using wooden frames made of maple and elk, deer or buffalo hide, and sinew. There is an option to dye your drum hide with Indigo plant dye.

We will provide a delicious vegetarian soup and fresh bread for lunch. We encourage participants to bring vegetarian snacks to share throughout the day.

from $380.00
